Cheerleading helps kids step out of their comfort zone, grow more confident in themselves and build a trust between teammates and coaches. The physicality of cheerleading increases children’s flexibility, balance, endurance and strength.
The pom-poms can be seen around PAL during the late summer and into the fall. Practice is Monday and Wednesdays, 5:30 – 6:45 p.m. This program is coordinated by Officer Rashawnda Williams.
“As a cheerleading squad, we work together, compete together and celebrate together. The girls physically, emotionally and mentally lift each other up by the end of the season.”
